The Battle of Britain.....and Jenson won !
It wasn't quite what most people were expecting, but it was certainly the start to the new F1 season that the sport needed after all of the confusion surrounding the pre-season.
Jenson Button and the Brawn team surprised everyone with the pole position start - especially after their lack of testing sessions. The more surprising part was the winning finish that came with it.
However, anyone who has followed the career of Jim Brawn should have known better. The man behind the name behind the team helped propel Michael Schumacher to become the driver he was as well as Ferrari into the team that it was....so it is not surprsing that he has resurected the career of Jenson Button and his team mate Rubens Barrichello who finished second.
All of this over-shadowed Lewis Hamiltons climb from last on the grid to finish fourth (although he has been promoted to third after Trulli was given a 25 second penalty for overtaking on a yellow flag). This was described as Hamilton's finest and most challenging drive especially following on from his McLaren-Mercedes reliability problems.
So, the question is - do you want to drive a real F1 car? As one of the few companies in the UK that offer the F1 experience, you could follow in the footsteps (or pedal prints) of Lewis Hamilton.........or Jensen Button!
