Formula 1 star Johnny Herbert visits The Racing School at Rockingham

Johnny Herbert former F1 and Le Mans racing driver visited Rockingham to watch charity auction winner Paul Tyson drive one of The Racing School’s F1 cars.

Paul’s generous bid at an auction in aid of the charity MIND last year won him
a fantastic Formula 1 Experience with The Racing School. The experience includes a full days driving starting with one to one tuition in a saloon car, paced and un-paced laps in a Formula Racing School single seater progressing to a session in a Formula 3 race car and finishing the day with a drive in one of the awesome Formula 1 cars.

Johnny who lives locally to where the event was held helped to organise the prize which was donated by
The Racing School. He spent the day chatting with Paul and the other drivers keeping them all entertained
with stories from his many racing experiences, he also providing invaluable advice to everyone concerned.

Neil Boardman -Chief Instructor pictured with Johnny and Racing School Instructor Matt Howson was delighted to work with Johnny for the day ‘It was great to have Johnny on board he has helped to make the day extra special for Paul and all the other guests.’
