Introduction to Drifting 'Stunt man style'

The sideways style of drifting has been taking the UK by storm over the last few years and features in every popular movie car chase.

Exclusive to The Racing School, we are giving you the opportunity to really 'Get the Drift'

You will be taught using unique instruction techniques developed by our chief instructor who trained with the leading stunt academy in the US.

Your introduction to drifting will start with a safety and technique briefing, your instructor will then familiarise you with the car. Throughout your driving session you will experience the exhilaration of being able to handle the car in a completely different style than you are used to. Your instructor will help to create a movie set environment and after a series of film style takes you will have experienced the basic moves and techniques that make up the drifting element of a car chase.

The experience will take place on a contained tarmac paddock within the venue

What you will learn

  • Controlled power-slides - With the tyres having lost their grip of the road, drivers use the rear of the car to steer, moving forwards while the car is at 45 degrees to the track. This stunt is all about driver control.
  • 360º figure of eight – With the tyres having no grip and the car in a permanent slide, the throttle is used to made directional changes so the car dances around two cones creating a figure of eight.
